Bayer Leverkusen secured a spot in the DFB-Pokal semifinals with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday. The hosts dominated the first half, taking a commanding 3-0 lead before Stuttgart staged a second-half rally.

Leverkusen drew first blood in the 15th minute through Robert Andrich. Patrik Schick doubled the lead just eight minutes later, and Amine Adli extended it to 3-0 with a stunning strike in the 37th minute.

Stuttgart showed resilience in the second half, with Serhou Guirassy pulling one back in the 54th minute. Borna Sosa then made it a one-goal game with a free-kick in the 67th minute.

However, Leverkusen held on to secure the victory and advance to the semifinals. They will face the winner of the match between Union Berlin and Schalke 04.
